Quotidian (pronounced quo-TI-dee-an). It’s a fancy word for quite an ordinary thing. In fact, it literally means just that: ordinary, commonplace, ‘the everyday’. Over the coming weeks, you’ll find stories and poems that take place in the everyday moments we so often skim over: a woman running a bath, school boys learning to dance, a husband lighting the barbecue, a girl watching strangers on the subway. We think you’ll find though that the ordinary isn’t really so 'ordinary' when you’re looking through the eyes of our writers.
